Summary
Jesubi is the first web-based solution built from the ground up to drive end-user productivity in the sales organization. This is accomplished while providing tremendous management oversight and insight to campaign and rep activity as well as campaign message receptivity. The start-up mentality is strong at Jesubi and as a result, the opportunities for a motivated, driven individual are great. The team is small but our “whatever it takes” attitude allows us to quickly drive tremendous value for our customers and stake- holders.
The Software Engineer (SE) will be responsible for building and testing various sub-components of the application. The SE will also contribute to the administration and monitoring of the production system. The current architecture is based on Struts, Hibernate, MySQL and it is expected that the SE will be familiar with some, if not all, of these technologies. Familiarity with related technologies and products would be beneficial. Our goal is to remain largely open-source based, so familiarity with the broad range to tools, libraries and applications that exist in this space is a must.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and testing of the primary Jesubi web-based application and any and all supporting applications and integrations.
- Participate as needed in administering and monitoring the production and test systems.
- Participate actively in the support of our customer base through technical support and training as required.
Required
- 2+ years of experience working on Java based application development.
- 2+ years designing database driven applications using MySQL.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ideal
- Familiarity with modern frameworks for web development, either server side like Wicket or client side like Closure.
- Familiarity with additional major open-source java initiatives such as JSF, Quartz, Drools and others.
- Experience with no-SQL database solutions, preferably Cassandra
