Job Title: Software Engineering Intern
Report to: VP, Product Development
Summary
Jesubi is the first web-based solution built from the ground up to drive end-user productivity in the sales organization. This is accomplished while providing tremendous management oversight and insight to campaign and rep activity as well as campaign message receptivity. The start-up mentality is strong at Jesubi and as a result, the opportunities for a motivated, driven individual are great. The team is small but our “whatever it takes” attitude allows us to quickly drive tremendous value for our customers and stake-holders.
The Software Engineer Intern (SEI) will be responsible for building and testing various sub-components of the application. The current architecture is based on Java, Struts, Google Closure, Hibernate, and MySQL and it is expected that the SEI will become familiar with some, if not all, of these technologies during the course of the internship. Existing familiarity with these or related technologies and products would be beneficial but is not necessarily required for the internship..
Interns at Jesubi are considered full-fledged members of the engineering team. As an intern you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to code that will likely be put into production and used by our customers during the course of internship. You will be paired with one of our full-time engineers as a mentor and coach and will be given projects commensurate with the skills you bring and develop over the course of your time with us. For the right candidate this is an ideal environment to jump in with both feet and experience first-hand the thrill of working with a small start-up company.

- Ability to work independently on a Linux system.
- Experience (academic or professional) with Java.
- Experience (academic or professional) with common web protocols (HTML, JSON, XML)
- Willingness to do whatever it takes
Ideal
- Familiarity with modern frameworks for web development, either server side like Wicket or client side like Closure.
- Familiarity with additional major open-source java initiatives such as JSF, Quartz, Drools and others.
